World Athletics is the international governing body for the sport of athletics: overseeing track and field, cross-country running, road running, racewalking, and mountain running. It is responsible for organising competitions and promoting the sport worldwide.

I create a range of content for World Athletics, primarily for their social media channels. The focus shifts depending on what’s happening in the world of athletics, but aside from the occasional promotion or competition coverage, most of my work centres around narratives and storytelling. The aim is always the same: to spotlight the sport’s biggest moments, stories, and personalities in a way that feels exciting, human, and true to the spirit of the sport.

Collectively, the videos I’ve created for World Athletics have reached more than 18 million views, received over 700,000 likes, and sparked thousands of comments; including comments from Usain Bolt, Colin Jackson and Eugene Amo-Dadzie.

The video carousel offers a glimpse into each project I’ve worked on, with more information further down the page if you’d like to explore them in more detail.

  • A series I had the opportunity to develop entirely from concept to completion. This project let me bring something a little different to World Athletics; blending education, history, and humour to spotlight some of the sport’s more unusual stories over the years. From Carl Lewis’ unexpected run-in with a bee to legendary rivalries, the series dives into moments that may not have made the front pages but are far too interesting to be left behind.

  • To mark the 40th anniversary of the World Athletics Championships, fans were invited to vote on the most iconic moments in the event’s history. I edited the results into a four-part, countdown-style series that revisited these standout highlights from the last four decades.

Fans followed, shared their takes and embraced the nostalgia. One of the most surreal moments for me was seeing Usain Bolt leave a comment on one of the videos. It was just a single emoji, but when it’s from the fastest man in history, it's special.

  • The Stars of Sprint is a mini-documentary series I produced for Inside Track, World Athletics’ subscription-based platform. The series explores the journeys of some of the biggest names featured in Netflix’s Sprint, including Noah Lyles and Shericka Jackson. While the full series is exclusive to Inside Track, I’ve included the trailer above in the video carousel so you can get a sneak peek of the project.
