The World Athletics Championships: Tokyo 2025 marked the 20th edition of the event and the second time it’s been hosted by the Japanese capital.
This provided a truly unique opportunity to connect the past and present competition. To do so, I created a series of split-screen videos that showcased the 1991 and 2025 events and their champions side by side, reflecting the evolution and enduring spirit of the sport.
It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the series resonate so deeply, reaching nearly 6 million views and sparking nostalgic engagement across World Athletics’ platforms.
